Practitioners see patients with back pain daily. But what about sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction? This presentation will review the anatomy of the sacroiliac joint and the pathophysiology of its dysfunction. With an emphasis on the importance of the physical exam, we’ll review the diagnostic work-up in an effort to understand current treatment options—medical, interventional, surgical—for this condition. We will also highlight clinical trials and discuss emerging trends in minimally invasive SI joint fusion.
